中国总领事出席墨尔本多元文化节，推介全球人工智能大会

7月18日，房新文总领事出席巴基斯坦驻墨尔本总领馆主办的巴基斯坦芒果节暨多元文化美食节开幕式。维州州长艾伦、澳联邦多元文化事务助理部长希尔、巴驻澳高级专员肖卡特、巴驻墨尔本总领事哈什米、多名维州议员、多国总领事等500余人出席开幕式。

房总领事热烈祝贺活动成功举办,并重点介绍习近平主席在世界人工智能大会开幕式上的重要讲话精神，强调各国应当秉持以人为本、向上向善理念，携手构建公正合理的全球人工智能治理体系。习近平主席还从发展、安全、文明、治理四个角度，全面系统阐述了中方在人工智能问题上的立场主张，为全球人工智能发展和治理进一步指明方向。大会期间包括中国和巴基斯坦在内的29国签署协议成立世界人工智能合作组织，成为人工智能发展史上的一个重要里程碑。

艾伦州长等致辞嘉宾表示，愿加强维州对外合作，共同推动维州多元文化繁荣发展。

Consul General Fang Xinwen Attends Pakistan Mango and Multicultural Food Festival and Promotes the Global Artificial Intelligence Conference

On July 18, Consul General Fang Xinwen attended the opening ceremony of the Pakistan Mango and Multicultural Food Festival, hosted by the Consulate General of Pakistan in Mebourne. More than 500 people attended the opening ceremony, including Victorian Premier the Hon. Jacinta Allan MP, Australian Federal Assistant Minister for Multicultural Affairs Hon. Jullian Hill MP, Pakistani High Commissioner to Australia H.E. Mr. Irfan Shaukat, Pakistani Consul General to Melbourne Mr. Wajid Hassan Hashmi, representatives of Victorian parliamentarian, and Consuls General from various countries.

Consul General Fang warmly congratulated the successful convening of the event and highlighted the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speech at the opening ceremony of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference. He emphasized that all countries should uphold the people-oriented philosophy of striving for excellence and the common good, and work together to build a just and reasonable global AI governance system. President Xi also comprehensively and systematically elaborated on China's position and propositions on AI from four perspectives: development, security, civilization, and governance, further pointing the way for global AI development and governance. During the conference, 29 countries, including China and Pakistan, signed an agreement to establish the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization, marking a significant milestone in the history of AI development.

Premier Jacinta Allan and other speakers expressed their willingness to strengthen Victoria's international cooperation and jointly promote the prosperity and development of Victoria's multiculturalism.
